Each barrel enters at 103 proof, one of the lowest barrel entry proofs in American bourbon, and the wood is air-dried 18–48 months and toasted before charring. The combination of low entry proof and extended maturation in heat-cycled warehouses is what pushes the profile toward deep caramel and baking spice rather than raw corn sweetness.

The US*1 designation traces the brand’s lineage to John Shenk’s 1753 Pennsylvania distillery — widely considered America’s first commercial whiskey operation. Today Michter’s operates two Louisville facilities: Fort Nelson (pot-to-pot stills, restored 2019) and Shively (column-to-pot stills, 14,400-barrel capacity).
< style="margin: 0;">
91.4 Proof

Please note: Spirits are only available for local delivery or in-store pickup. All orders for shipping will be cancelled immediately.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0926/1023/2604/files/michters-us1-bourbon-whiskey-small-batch-750ml_1.jpg?v=1791818647
