M68/1 feels a little more purposeful than the classic puffy bootie. The generous padded silhouette still gives you all the cosy appeal, but the wraparound elastic straps and flexible sole create a secure, dancer-focused shape that looks completely at home over a pair of pointe shoes.

Grishko M68/1 Warm-Up Booties – Design & Comfort

The M68/1 combines a waterproof 100% polyester outer shell with soft 100% polyester insulation and lining, wrapping the foot in lightweight warmth without making the bootie unnecessarily heavy.

What really distinguishes this Grishko design is the combination of a flexible anti-slip faux-leather sole and broad elastic straps positioned around the foot and ankle. Together they create a more secure feel while still allowing dancers to move, stretch the feet and work through warm-ups with their dance shoes underneath.

Grishko specifically designed the M68/1 for wearing over pointe shoes. The warmth retained around the foot can also help the pointe shoe gradually respond to the dancer's foot, a small but very dancer-specific detail that makes this bootie more than simply something cosy to pull on.

One for the pointe dancers. Plenty of booties can be worn over dance shoes, but M68/1 was actually designed with pointe shoes in mind.

The elastic straps make a difference. Rather than relying only on the shape of the bootie, the broad elastic wraps across the foot and around the ankle, giving M68/1 its distinctive secure silhouette.

And the colours are part of the fun. Pink, Coffee and Black form the main collection, with changing special colours giving dancers plenty of opportunity to find something a little less expected.

Grishko M68/1 Dance World Fit Advice

Wearing over ballet or pointe shoes:
Choose the size range corresponding most closely with your normal foot size. M68/1 is already designed with room for dance footwear underneath, so you do not automatically need to size up simply because you're wearing pointe shoes.

Between two sizes:
We recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable, relaxed fit over dance shoes.

Prefer a cosier fit?
Stay within your normal Grishko bootie size range. The elastic straps help hold the boot securely around the foot and ankle without requiring a close footwear-style fit.
